Dynamite Entertainment and Dark Horse Comics have announced the 2014 crossover of swords-and-sorcery icons Red Sonja, She-Devil with a Sword and Conan the Barbarian, a reunion that fans have asked for since their last team-up over fifteen years ago.  Two series will be published, Red Sonja/Conan and Conan/Red Sonja, by Dynamite and Dark Horse, respectively.  Gail Simone and Brian Wood are confirmed as the writers for the epic crossovers, both firmly established as valuable contributors to the Robert E. Howard fantasy mythos.

Gail Simone, current Red Sonja series writer, states, “It’s only the crossover that readers have been begging to have for over a decade: the two greatest barbarian adventurers ever created in an epic tale of blood, lust, and vengeance.  This is the kind of stuff that made me a reader in the first place, and working with Brian Wood and his amazing version of Conan?  It’s just a sword-and-sorcery dream come…

Armored Core Verdict Day

Genre Third Person Vehicular Combat / Platforms PlayStation 3, Xbox 360

Developer From Software / Publisher Namco Bandai

Platform Played On PS3

When I first pressed the Start button in Armored Core: Verdict Day’s main menu, I expected to be greeted by a fairly standard mech-based combat game. For the most part, that’s exactly what Verdict Day offers you, though it stumbles in quite a few areas.

At its core, Verdict Day is all about siding with a particular faction, building your mech unit – and team, if you feel like – after which you’re free to start causing mayhem, both offline and on.

Even though you may enjoy it all by yourself, Verdict Day is heavily built around the online component. The game offers a persistent global map, divided into seasons, each one lasting until either one faction conquers the others’ regions, or the time-limit expires. There are three…

*Spoilers ahead*

Great episode and it definitely shows that Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is progressively getting better. We so far have gotten a good balance of characterization, superhero elements, and we see them working more as agents now that they have been established as a team.

What I like most about this episode is that something is going to affect future events, which in the first two episodes it felt more like the threat was dealt with and won’t really come back in the future. Dr. Hall is more than just an asset to comic fans, we know him as Graviton. Of course it is less than likely that he will come across this power, it’s great that Whedon has brought in a classic villain that was one of the Avengers first. Doesn’t start off as one either which allows new viewers to learn a bit more about his character and…

Far Cry 4 Confirmed?

Posted: October 9, 2013 in Uncategorized

Adam

It was pretty obvious that Far Cry 4 was going to be released but it would seem that the composer for the film Drive, Cliff Martinez, has outed it’s development in an interview with Lost in the Multiplex.

The quote has been deleted but can be read through a cached version. While Ubisoft has still not confirmed Far Cry 4’s existence with positive reviews and high sales it’s doubtful that the franchise will not continue after the success of Far Cry 3.
